TKO Training

On this glorious sunny day I spent the best part of 8 hours in Green’s main studio in Cambridge, first of all covering Bodycombat and Bodypump (both rocking classes this mornin, great lot of participants!) and then straight in to a 5 hour workshop in instructing TKO, which is now complete. I hope to be able to come up with class routines and teach freestyle but also incorporate it in to PT sessions. Info is below:-

“TKO is an exciting martial arts fitness workout targeting the key skill- related components (balance, agility and co-ordination) in addition to the vital health-related factors (flexibility, endurance and body composition). A hugely important aspect of the class, however, is that it affords an avenue for everyday people to throw off the confines of their, perhaps repetitive lives, shed inhibitions and exercise stress with combinations based around blocking, punching and kicking. Participants use dynamic and explosive moves to stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, reducing stress symptoms, improving general well-being and developing self-assurance and thus self-confidence.”
